For 35 years and counting, the Victoria Region Men’s & Newcomer Club has provided companionship, social engagement and a host of outdoor and indoor activities for hundreds of retired men–both those who recently moved to the Greater Victoria area and those who have lived, worked and retired here.
Our range of group activities includes tennis, golf, hiking and cycling, as well as bridge-playing, investment, books, snooker and billiards, plus regular lunch get-togethers, pub lunches and annual celebrations like Chinese New Year’s and Christmas Dinner.
This past year we’ve also added a host of special events–field trips and tours of local attractions and places of interest, like the University of Victoria’s amazing space telescope, the Canadian Navy’s ship navigation simulator, Viking Air’s Dash aircraft conversion facility and even the massive landfill facility operated by the Capitol Region District. Note that many of our special events and celebrations are open to spouses as well.
Right now, the VMNC is on a special new member drive. From now to December 31, we’d love the opportunity to show you what we have to offer. Go to our website at www.vmnc.ca and check us out. You can join the club online or request more information.
Bonus! Interested new members can attend one of our monthly lunches for free with no obligation. It’s a great way to see how the club works and meet some current members. Last but not least, all new members’ needs and queries are handled by an executive member dedicated to making sure your time with us is productive, enjoyable and well worth the $25 annual membership fee. So what are you waiting for? Contact us at: [email protected]
