An excellent hike was organized by Arnie, beautiful views, and ups and downs to get the lungs working for 9 intrepid hikers!
First stage of hike was easy downhill from the Mount Work Regional Park parking lot to McKenzie Bight (bay) where we had gorgeous views over Finlayson Arm to the Malahat.
Second stage was north following the shoreline north and then back to Mackenzie Bight on a different trail.
Third stage was a heart pounding hike up through the forest to Squally Reach Viewpoint where we had outstanding views of the islands, attached 180 degree panorama photo does not do it justice!
Last stage after water/snacks was back to car and coffee/sandwiches on veranda of nearby original Red Barn.
Big shout-out to Arnie for organizing and for ordering the great weather!
