What better way to usher in the summer than with a VMNC Bridge Extravaganza! Twenty-eight of the Club’s social bridge players participated in an evening of delicious pizza, spirited conversation and, of course, terrific bridge in what is shaping up to be a much anticipated annual event.
Our top three standout players, Paul Retallack, Bob MacDonald and Rodger Miner, earned the highest three scores of the evening. In addition, three pairs managed to bid and make the only three slams. The teams were Roy Cullen and Arnie Walters; Ajit Singh and Ron Semkow; and Jim Stevenson and Larry Nicholchuck. Of course, there were many others who just missed scoring with a big hand and fell, instead, into the “woulda, coulda, shoulda “category!
We enjoyed great volunteer support in organizing this event, and benefited greatly from the encouragement and support of our President, Roger Love, and his entire Executive team. We are all looking forward to another great year of social bridge and another Bridge Extravaganza.
